Healthy Lifestyle

Today's children consume more sugar and dye colored food by the buckets everyday. It has been said an average American consumes enough sugar that measures close to their own body weight every year--result: hyper kids. "Antsy" kids are common, but sugar enhances it, and is is especially enhanced while sitting watching the t.v.! The energy builds up instead of being spent productively, and the kids drive mom wild...these kids are not being taught the Biblical ethics of working with this hands ( I Thessalonians 4:11) and being productive with their time that could be used to learn to knit, make cookies, build a bird-house, cultivate a garden, constructing a tree house, composing raw material and making a play house, and many more things which develop a child's mind!
Our family does a lot together--we garden and turn our compost, we make play houses out of old railroad ties and chicken wire, we hatched chickens and raised them--we also found a use our of an old wood tarp and made a 16 ft. by 12ft. kite (which didn't fly great but it was still fun!)
Today we have a lot of obesity...this unproductively can contribute to this--also an unhealthy, unwholesome diet. NO offense, but Mother should be knowledge enough to be able to bake a nutritious meal once in a while without having to use a bunch of fat and grease. A simple freshly baked load of bread oiled and covered with herbs and home-made canned Veg. soup with boiled green bean and corn with tomatoes and frozen fruit for desert should be efficient. This is also practicing economy.
On any end--our kids are growing up unequipped with the basics of Biblical standards, and we need to enforce it as Christian Parents so a generation of young people don't grow to be handicaps in home as a family productivity and healthy eating.

This is a site where we all want to impart "grace unto the hearer"(Eph.4:29). Let us not attack each other but admonish with love, if we must rebuke a fellow believer. Also keep in mind I would appreciate no improper language or phrases.
Thank you for sharing your opinions with us.
God bless you,
